    Prayer Request Crappie Withdraws!!!!


    Dag on!!! It has been nearly a month since Ive been fishing! If its not rain....its high winds....if its not wind.... its ice!!! I dont know about any of you guys but my boat and I REALLY need some quality time together!!!!

    I'm lucky to have a Hot Hole lake within an hours drive! Went to Hyco Lake yesterday an caught 38 crappie castin the World Famous FishDoc Bucktail! 55 degree water temp! also caught 25 LMB before I stumbled on the crappie. Air temp got up to nearly 60 before I left! Really nice day out on the water! It had been 12 days since I went, a record for me! Fresh crappie for supper!

    Most all the ramps were froze as of last friday. haven't talked to anyone there this wk. snow has covered the roads here agin this mornin...

    whats the boat decal ive heard ya got to have at Hyco cost Doc? I got nc fishing licence- aint but bout 45 min from me & ive never fished it...
    My wife swears I only do enough surveying to support my hunting & fishing because I'm too busy hunting & fishing !

    Season pass is $50, daily $15 !! I've fished it since 1964. went back Wed, before the snow, caught 62 crappie from that same school, kept 20, the lake limit, that were 11-12 inches! also caught 18 LMB after I limited on crappie. Great place to go when Buggs is froze or nearly so. and hunter, practice yur dock shootin skills cause there are a bunch of docks on this lake an the crappie like to hide under a few of'em!
