If you want to catch a big YP, LCR is a good place to do it. I don't target YP, but this was my 3rd length citation this year. You won't fill a cooler, but the ones you catch can be nice. For many weeks last summer, I averaged one citation YP per LCR trip. They will take live bait ranging from a 1" crappie minnow to a 6" herring (legal in impoundments), jigs, cranks, and probably anything you put down near the bottom. Points with gradual dropoffs are good, but I've also caught them in the middle of the lake.

That's all I need to see! Plus a 3-day weekend! I'm jacked! Then, single digit temps all three days. I hope somebody gets there before I do--and breaks the ice!

Any chance you can post a better pic of your spider rig setup? I'm getting ready to start on mine and really like your holders. BTW nice fish.

Wow, that is a stud YP! Congrats.

Glad your catching some quality fish Richard!!!!! It's been three weeks of ice on our rivers. I hope they clear out before the bash. Hope to see ya soon.

Pretty fish, a real trophy.

Roy that's a NICE perch, did you release because of the spawning?
Just curious because I would have probably harvested.
