    Default North x Northwest

I went fishing on the Northwest River on Saturday, January 17, and experienced a pretty slow half-day. I got 10 bites, boated 8 fish, and kept 6. It was hard to scratch up dinner in the five hours I fished. Here is what I took home for the fryer:

I needed more fish for the table, so I went fishing again on Friday, January 23. On that trip, I went out on the North River in North Carolina. The fishing was better, and here is a picture of what I brought home. I love surprises like this:

And yes, it always seems beautiful out there to me:

    Good luck, everyone.

Nice mess of fish there. Where abouts where you on the North river if I may ask. I'm nearly at the south end of it in broadcreek and I was considering giving them a try sometime soon.I may have to go out this afternoon and drag a bait around for some stripers.

Way to go. At least you did not have any "Psycho" riders on water bugs. Don't worry about CF he just thinks he's "The Man Who knew Too Much". "I Confess" those are some great looking scenery pics, even if they don't show any of "The Birds" you usually see. You might say I was "Spellbound".

Those Stripers are "Notorious" for putting up a good fight I hear.

Don't let anyone "Blackmail" the location out of you.

I bet as you left and looked out "The Rear Window" it felt like "Murder!" having to pack it in for the day.

You didn't happen to hear "The Ring" of any bells out there did you?

    KS--I was upstream from you.

    Dave and redd...thanks.

Vic: sure was fun on a 16' rod with 4lb test leader.

Ed, I missed seeing you out there. Like I said before, c'mon man they're biting!

Doug; You have The Wrong Man, I made it out of there without a Hitch...cock. Probably why I didn't hear any bells...

Great report Dean. I ran there Sunday and did great on the specks and found some perch on the Flats. I tried a new place on the main river with no success.
