    Thumbs up Richmond Fishing Show

I went to the richmond fishing show Saturday. Got to give a BIG shout out to Monk's Crappie! They always have a great selection of tackle and always has the new colors and old favorites. Enjoyed the great conversation. It's nice to to go to a show that has someone there with crappie baits!
One bite from the crappie bug and ..... Your hooked for life!

Mr. and Mrs. Monk and family are nice people. Great selection too. Sorry I didn't get to get there to shake hands this year.

Don't know if you were here at the time that Panman Keith was going thru his cancer battle, but we were at the show in Monk's booth and I turned around and Keith was on the floor. He was already too weak to be there, but liked Monk and loved crappie fishing stuff. Mr. Monk got him a chair and were great hosts until Keith regained his composer. As the year progressed, Mr Monk would email me to check on Keith. When I ordered thru the mail, there was a hand written note inside to pass on best wishes to him. The next year's show rolled around and as soon as I got there, they ask about Keith. When I told them that he was just too weak to make it, Mr. Monk said to tell him that there was always a chair waiting for him in Monks booth. Good people giving good service and keeping it real with what is really important in life. I don't go thru much crappie gear, but when I need something, Mr. Monk gets my business. I got two packs of Bobby Garland stroller from them today via my brother in law.

I've known Monk since his Wateree Marina days. Always enjoyed stopping by and chatting with him.

I plan on stopping by his store one of these days.

In the photo above we are pointing at the chair where Panman sat to recover after fainting during the show.

Mrs Monk and I had our very capable Grandson helping this year. We brought (4) chairs, an extra chair for Panman!
