    All mine were caught while crappie fishing with a jig and minnow combo. I did notice that when I went shallower, I picked up YP.

    Casting jigs will work. Just count down and keep close to the bottom. Baby shads will work. Curly tails will work too. If the water is clear, use natural colors. Shad colors and also pumpkin, green pumkin, etc... They are opportunistic feeders. I caught some last year that had little brown crabs in their stomach. You just need to find out what they are feeding on and match your bait to it as closely as possible and you can clean house.

    I have caught a lot of them in the summer using a beetle spin with a black and yellow body.
