I was going to post and ask who would break the ice. If it's that cold I probably won't make the trip

If what I'm seeing come true for the weather forecast, Thursday night is supposed to drop down to 6 degrees here. I still think they will warm that up some but if it happens, the rivers will be solid all day especially after all the cold nights leading up to Thursday night. It is supposed to warm up Saturday some but it will take a couple days to thaw all that ice.

Yesterday here never got above 25. 5am here and it is 15. I debated on posting the upcoming 10 day forcasted temps and decided to stay out of it.

Call Dennis or James @ 421-2855, if it's froze now it's not thawing by Saturday!

If its not froze now it will be by Friday. That's why I started the poll about postponing it. I've got to go down that way Wed or Thur so I'll check it out when I go.

The river was frozen last Saturday morning when they tried to hold the Goody's big bass tourney. Trust me, it's frozen shore to shore, likely to Tull's Bay. Dang. At least the fish will get to spawn with nobody bothering them. I checked the Suffolk lakes yesterday afternoon and they were even starting to ice over. The local ponds in Chesapeake were open until last night. Now all of them are solid. I sure don't mind the cold weather, but dang, leave us an open ramp with water to fish!
