Glad to hear you made it back safe to the good ole USA. Nothing like being out of the country for a while to realize how good we have it here. At least you made it back on the water for a couple of trips before the rain moved in.
I spent the last month in China and am glad to be home.
Got on the water Saturday and had to hunt hard for them. Finally found some in about 4 ft casting a jig. Water temp was 60-61. Landed 15 small ones. Nothing picture worthy.
Got out early Sunday and outboard (9.9 Evinrude) was hard to start and barely ran when I did get it started. Only thing I did was top off the gas so I suspected bad gas from the station.
Stayed close to the launch with the TM. Couldn't find any bites on the jig so I gave up and went to my favorite sunfish bait Rebel cricket hopper. Caught a few sunnies just to keep me occupied. Also managed 5 small crappie so the day was no a full waste.
Headed home mid day to troubleshoot motor. Even though I just rebuilt the carb two months ago I pulled it and cleaned everything again. Seems to have fixed and it runs like a champ in the driveway. Rain is driving me nuts as I want to test it in the water. Hopefully soon.
In any case glad to be home and fishin again.
