    Default Indian Town 1-19-13

Had a great day at IT today. Caught 63 crappie, 25 yellow perch, 20 stripers and 1 grinnel. Caught them all on either My shad stingers or BGBS. Colors that worked were Blue Grass, Blue Ice, Key Lime Pie, Pink/White, chart/white. Chart/white did not perform as well as the others and the others were balanced out pretty good. Caught 4 or 5 slabs. 11 inches on down to 6 inches. I brought home my limit which was mostly crappie in the 10 and 11 inch range but was a couple smaller ones mixed in. Ran out of time before I could get them culled and the bite slowed down an hour or so before sunset. I also brought home 10 perch. A couple of them were pigs but most were average. Caught a pile of average fish today in crappie and perch. Rockfish were all too small to keep except maybe one. Missed a bunch of fish today too and lost several at the boat including one nice one.

Got to hang out with Dustdew and His Partner Chris(I think that was what His name was) Had a good time. Also got to talk to Jim B. Good to see You too Jim.

It was pretty good action all day with just a few short lulls. it was hard to fish 8 rods and was thinking hard about dropping back to 6 but I was catching them on every rod and did not want to slow the action. I wanted to cast some too but could not with the fish hitting 2 and 3 at a time sometimes. Had 3 stripers on at once one time........ That was fun. Coming out of my recent slump with a bang. I'm ready for the Bash.CF

In North Carolina. Everyone calls it Indian Town because that is the name of the creek where the ramp is. The good fishing is actually in North River.

Great report Ed. It was good seeing you and some others on the water yesterday. You were hammering the fish. Great report. JIM.B
