    I am not positive but I will give my opinion. the first picture above shows fish on the right the white spots, looks like they are right on the bottom on a point. What I see may be an issue, as max benefit is achieved when you are 2X depth and it looks like you are scanning 150 both ways in 8 feet of water, I would set range back to 20-30 maybe 50 feet. You will see much more detail. The second picture in my reply is showing the shoreline on the right and the left is just to much to view so it faded to black. If you ranged back you may see some structure on the bottom perhaps a few logs. I must go by memory of the pictures as in my reply I cannot see the pictures. When you do this again, hit menu, go down to range and move back to 20 feet.

    I set my side image distance between 75'-90' and around 40' when scanning bridge pylons. Why not take a snapshot and save the image to your SD card rather than taking a pic with a camera?

    Check out my video. It's only 20 minutes long even though it says 40.
