We started fishing half-way in to the North River and didn't find much. Eventually made it down to the island. Still didn't find the fish.
Glad you guys found some. I'd like to try the area again. That place must hold a ton of fish.

Not sure if you saw us. we were in a 17' center console carolina skiff.

    Default I/t

I went out there Monday and got my limit of nice big speclkes but what really got me was the size of a couple of the yellow perch that I caught. One was 1lb 9 oz and the other was 1 lb 12 oz, both full of row. All of the yellow perch that I caught were females excpet for one. The two big ones were full of row and looked freakish because they were so big. Caught most all in 7ft of water, got some deeper and some shallower. Caught them on minnows below a float, regular and Rosey Reds. Bait Barn on 158 has a good supply of both.
