    Default Buggs,camping and fishing

Wife wanted to go camping with this warm weather,so went to north bend wed ,set up and 12:30 went to eastland .troll ,fish laps and few docks in back of creek with no luck.decided to fish BP so at 3:30 went over one and saw fish on it with SI,fish it and second fish wife caught one 1 lb 9 ounce then she caught a 1 lb 5 ounce ,thinking about letting her swim back,I caught a few just over 1 lb ,went to next pile also in same depth of 20 feet and fish 8-11 feet after seeing fish on it too ,caught more but only 10-11 inches and so left for 3 bp and did not see any on it but 3 bp in a cluster so had to fish it , but nothing so went to last bp that I knew and did not see any but fish anyway ,nothing. went in back of another creek and fish laps and caught one, wind up with 37 with 26 keepers but threw back big fish, today went to grassy and caught 27 with many about a lb but no big ones ,had to come in early because of lighting, one lighting and wife is going in and if I don't then I will be withot boat while she is driving it in

Sounds like a good day on the water to me. Also, looks like you got all the BP's mapped out. If I ever get to Buggs, maybe you could guide!Thumbs Up

Sounds like the warm weather has even woke up the crappie in Eastland. That's my favorite creek arm to fish and it doesn't hurt that it is the closest one to my hours. (144 miles away) Nice job.

Hi Gene, Ive been fishing shallow the past few days, its been kind of slow, catching males and small ones though. Sounds like I need to move out and check brush piles though. Its kind of hard with the warm weather, I keep thinking anyday, they will be shallow, so thats where I go. Thanks for the Info. One question about the SI, I have a 989, I have no problem finding brush with it, but I cant see fish on the piles with the SI, Can you explain what you are doing on your SI to see the fish. Are you zooming in on the pile after passing it, or do you have your SI not very wide (only showing 75' in both directions) It would be helpful with the info. Thanks for the fishing report - Downeast

Fished Wed and it was tough for us. Fished shallow and deep with a few being caught but not much in the way of keepers. Fished real shallow on thurs an caught em pretty good. Had a 2.9 and a 2.11. had about 25 nice keepers. Seemed like they were right on edge of where it changed from about 4 ft to 2 ft. Hope this helps someone.
