My good friend, Linwood called me up knowing my boat is in shop and asked me about fishing a few days at BDR. I jumped on the chance!
Last yr he and I had great spring there. Today was beautiful but VERY high winds. 1ft rollers in back of coves! WT got up to 53.3! Caught several mud cats, 2 greenies, LG caught a moster pickeral and the only crappie! @12". Going back tomorrow morning, and maybe try the upper end. Last yr LG caught several citations with me and I hope to recreate those days! ( reversal of the citations of course!)

Keith! Hey, while leaving BDR,,No-BS, I was going to buy minnows at park store because they don't sell at upper ramp. I had a guy offer me his minnows, when he gave them to me--- I thought immediatly of you! he gave me SW minnows, when I asked he said yes but didn't seem to want to offer info. ( which of course i didn't press for)
I threw my minnow trap, in the creek in this afternoon, hoping some are in trap tomorrow! Hey,,, I truly hope all is as good as it can be for you and If I can, I would love to steal some of your secrets at BDR this yr!
My newest crappie boats motor is" repaired" ( I should rebuild/replace) and waiting at Lake Anna, but I would rather fish BDR ! ( with the good people I have met here) So boat and Miss anna has to wait!

BDR 3/2 was just about same! One 12" crappie to start the day ( had that black spot on bottom lip (special?) then several cats , several very nice bass and 3-4 pickeral.
I will be back soon, heard they are biting "at upper end of lake".. ( my boat is ready at Anna so I am picking it up Monday!)
