Good report Roy, glad you got out, sorry you can't go tomorrow.
I remember that swamped boat, a man and wife were in a very small 10 footer with about three inches of the boat out of the water and a wake swamped them right near the ramp. I jumped in my boat and fired up the 50HP and ran out to them. We pulled them in, they dumped out the water, grabbed some more tackle, bummed some minnows and went back out fishing.
If you remember a large ugly bearded man running it, that was me. We did it one more year, stopped in 2002, I think 2001 was the biggest crowd we had. We were expecting even more after that big winner but I think 01 was the biggest turnout. That was exciting when we opened that envelope and the paper said "Congratulations, you have caught the $10,000 winner !". I think I was more surprised than the guy who caught the fish, we both jumped about 6 feet in the air.

I also fished the last one . Finished 6. Was two boats in the cut or cove , the other boat finished 3rd. We were the higgest finishing boat without a 10 h.p. Stayed in that cut all day. A Mann guy had won the year before. Never forget that time on Sandy. THANKS good MEMORIES !!!!!!!!
what size motor is allowed at Sandy River?
by the way, thats a nice 3 lber you got there......private pond?
10 HP limit, if you go TM only make sure you have enough batteries, the back of that lake has some standing timber and its a long ways from the ramp on a windy day.
