Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!
Boyce....thats gotta be a typo... True it started out as a 3 lb 10 oz...and when I got it verification from the guy who caught it...it was 3 lbs 11 oz and 18 inches long.
Still a very nice fish! I would love to see a picture of a near 5lb. crappie!
Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!
Hey Joe, when you moved to Carolina did you take the big fish with you? That is a very nice one.

Here ya go, Krazy ..... you wanted to see a "near 5lb. Crappie" :
World Record Crappie
This is from 2005 and is still the KY State Record Crappie @ 4lb 14oz
Note : as it turned out, the fish was a hybrid cross & therefore did not qualify as a World Record Black Crappie. But, since KY does not distinguish between Crappie species, and classified it as simply a "Crappie" .... it did qualify for a State Record.

I have seen some very big fish since I moved here, and lost a big one at the boat myself. Raised the lake level a foot from the tears.

No problem Joe, and you're right! That is a huge fish! Thanks for posting a picture and report on the Kentucky fish Pappy. That was a drag stripper for sure. And I was happily surprised to learn Kerr lake holds the world record black crappie. I'm going to try and catch one Sunday!
Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!
