    Default LCR do-over

After LCR served up a stinker yesterday, I wanted to see if different spots would deliver different results.

The temp was no less than mid-40s all day, but the wind chill felt like the middle of winter. Water is still at 61* - 64*.

I covered a lot of water, but only found a modest bite in a few places. Apparently, the weather change caused them to move deeper. On Thu, they were in the 5' to 6' range. Today, it was 10'+. Most spots that have done well in the past delivered only a dink or two. My fish count wasn't reliable today, but the cooler count was 11 specks (up to 12") plus a 12.5" ringer.

The lake remains low & I learned that pumping in from Diascund and Chick Lake is on hold due to the cost.

I also learned that an abbreviated winter schedule is on the way. Currently, the plan is to open the launch ramp Fri - Sun, but to keep it closed the rest of the week.

Well you did better that I did the day before, much better. I found them in CL in some different spots, but like you say a few here and a few there. Ya! bad news about the ramp being closed during the week.

I think it is always us, not the fish, that are confused when it goes bad!

Definitely no fun battling the wind on a TMO lake but it looks like you found some spots out of it. Glad you caught a few.

There isn't a schedule. The grand plan is to fish every day--with exceptions for bad weather, exhaustion, and a few chores.

    Right.

That's been the story for the past month. Water temp's up & down like a yo-yo & (as J.B points out) the fish are confused.

You can say that again. If it weren't for iPilot, my last two LCR trips would have been considerably shorter.
