Bass Seeker another place up at Buggs are the cabins at the Occonechee State Park. In the off season a two bed room cabin runs about 90.00 a day. Go on the inter net and google Virginia State Parks, Occonechee and you can get the rates, look at pictures of the cabins and information on how to sign up for one. Where did you live in Pa.? I'm from Norristown.

Thanks AC I'll do that. I lived in Pittsburgh, moved to the Cape May NJ area in '02. My buddy lived in Philly, your old neck of the woods, he moved down here before me but his children still live up there. Years ago I drank beer that was brewed in Norristown........remember what that was?

Rolling Rock was brewed by Latrobe brewing in Latrobe Pa., home of Arnold Palmer. A few years ago they were purchased but I think they're still at that location.

Norristown was the location of one of the breweries of Schmidt's of Philadelphia. "Schmidt's of Philadelphia, Schmidt's will ring the bell fer ya".

It used to be a big regional beer, now I see a few cases at the store. Schaeffer's was also in that area.

Bass seeker we had three or four breweries back in the 50's I think. I remember as a kid the smell in the air from the hopps. Another was Valley Forge Beer I think. Schmidt's was a good beer and if I remember right schaeffer's was kind of a mild beer.

Growing up in Pittsburgh I lived about 8 blocks from the Duquesne brewery, I know that smell! The other big brewery in Pgh was Iron City, the label is still out there. Schmidt's was pretty good and yes Schaeffer was mild "Schaeffer is the one beer o have, when you're having more than one".
