Default Flood tide was the ticket at the Chick today

After being cooped up at home for a week, it was great to get back on the water this morning. The Chick was in good shape, but water temp hovered just above freezing--34* at launch and never more then 35*. The tide was falling & that didn't seem to suit the fish. In this shot, emblematic of my morning, three buzzards "share" a carcass.

Almost as soon as the tide changed, the bite began. Several small ringers, a decent sized greenie, and 5 nice specks (including 2 @ 13") helped make up for the rotten morning.

Although today got off to a slooooooooow start and provided nothing for Adams' contest logbook, it certainly beat shoveling snow off the roof of my house!

Default Good Job on the Slabs

Nice Slab... I guess there's no snow on the ramp? Good day considering the water temp change from 45.8 on Friday.

There were a few small ones, but nothing worth keeping. Normally, I would follow and imitate Vic & Reed, but they didn't show up until I'd given up on the docks & moved down the river to try other places. When I returned, they'd already skimmed the cream off that area. They were thoughtful enough to show me what I missed.
