    anyone know how the crappie and bluegill fishing is,was told there are huge bluegill there

    Locally, this lake is called Lee Lake. If you search the VA forum using each name, you'll find a few discussions about it. If you like to fish in a dead forest standing in 20' of water, this is the place! I drift corks & this lake isn't at all suitable for my fishing style. There's a narrow band along the dam (north end of the lake) that's relatively stump free, but I caught very few specks there. I heard reports of huge shellcrackers being caught during January, but never caught or saw one myself.

    I did catch an amazing sunset there one evening--
    Fishing since '50!

    I believe the fish are there, but wasn't able to crack the code in two trips.

    how about a boat launch ? any directions to it ?

    I was out to the farmhouse in Capron yesterday and been looking for spots when I make the move away from the beach .....saltwater will become "part time" !

    Ramp is shown in the picture (sort of.) At least you can make out the pier next to the ramp. Here's the satellite view. Zoom out & you'll see how to get there from 460, north of Blackstone.
