Thread: 10-4-23 Brief Ultraviolet Crappie Jig Explanation

Okie Dokie... I'm not a fish though they say you are what you eat.However, they say fish/Crappie in particular see in Ultraviolet. I briefly explain Ultraviolet vs Glow & why it may be helpful to know this. Some fish have Ultraviolet properties in their scales & make it so they themselves not only see in Ultraviolet they are Ultraviolet. Why would you care about this Crappie Fishing? Well you don't have to. If you are catching state limits & have a freezer full of fresh ones whenever you choose you can just disregard all this. You more than likely are a "FISHERMAN". On the other hand they are way more people that GO FISHING & LIKE TO FISH vs are "FISHERMEN". To the people who like to fish but struggle here is why taking this in consideration may put a few more fish in your boat. You see... At certain depths, certain colors we see with our human eyes change color under the water. At certain depths certain colors with certain properties with Ultraviolet Vision Eyes see colors different also. Ever had a fish short strike you? Ever knew what the color compound of your bait was made of? Ever knew if that compound from the body was made the same as the head in color?

Example: If you have a HandTie Jig & it's body is made of GLOW or ULTRA VIOLET but the jig head was just plain lead you ever thought that the fish swimming up could see the body but not the head so it says WTH IS DAT? Now take that same bait & say they see the BODY & THE HEAD ALL ILLUMINATED!! IT'S THE TOTAL BAIT, CRUSTACEAN, LURE ETC & NOW THEY WANT TO EAT IT OR KILL IT CAUSE THEY SEE THE HEAD AND ALL... You ever went to eat a burger, smelled a burger, looked at the burger, and saw meat, no bread, no veggies, no sauce but still ate it cause you were served it in a wrapper or a Pizza with Dough & no toppings? Hey what do I know... I'm just a stupid guy typing on a Blog. In this video I try to briefly explain what I'm saying & you will see me using an Ultraviolet Light/Blacklight (Since I'm a Black Man...) Look at the body of the baits that are not Ultraviolet, the body & head of the ones mixed with Ultraviolet, & the one I had made that is Body, Head, & wrap are all in Ultraviolet.
