Interesting old lure
Well guys... ichabod and silverside got it right. It was the Green-Wyle Company that made Klipon Lures out of Brooklyn, N.Y. The lure I was talking about was the Squirmer. Very unique as the hook hangers were made with a flat metal spring that you could raise with your thumb nail and then turn the hook attachment screw eye a quarter turn and remove or replace, or change sizes...they turn the attachment screw eye back and release the flat spring to lock it in place. The paintwork and finish on these lures was really good. Some folks even said they looked so good that they needed to be in a art gallery. Others said just gazing at one was like listening to Beethoven while enjoying fine wine.
I hope you enjoyed todays trivia, I know I did...see you again next Monday morning. Below is a picture of this lure.

Interesting old lure
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
What’s really cool is the warning to read instructions before attempting to use. Safety kinda not a priority in those days.

That’s a good looking lure! As usual, I didn’t have a clue!
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
