    Another hint.......this company also later on got into archery and made fiberglass bows and arrows

    I don't know any of this trivia stuff. I grew up using a cane pole, black fishing line, #2 crappie hook, and a wine bottle cork floater. Things were simple in the 40's-50's. no such thing as a "fishfinder" or "trolling motor" except a sculling paddle and a weighted trot line and a treble hook for "finding stuff". Never saw a lure of any type til I saw one in the Western Auto store.
