Clark Brothers Make em bite lure
Somewhere around the mid teens or early 1920's in Ohio, two men Came up with a new idea for a fishing lure. It was a very unusual lure as it was weedless and had spring loaded hooks that would release and pop open several inches. What were these mens names ? and what was the name of this bait ?
I will give a hint later on today and will give the answer and the story tonight.

That is only my guess. There are many out there. I could be wrong. I had no idea some many lures with spring loaded hooks existed

My above guess is incorrect

The E-Z Way Bass Bait, made around 1915 by Harlow & Steinbaugh of Newark, Ohio
Mean looking apparatus. I read where they said the instructions came with many warns to keep you from impaling yourself with those hooks

Yup, dangerous bait for sure.
Hint.... One of the men manufactured and sold duck decoys and duck calls that are highly prized by collectors.
