While fishing with 870 last Sunday, we made tentative plans to fish another of his sweet spots on Thursday after work. We were able to make that happen and launched just before 5pm. We knew it was going to be breezy but somebody cranked up the wind machine from "breeze" to "Cat. 1 Hurricane" and 870 had his hands full trying to control the boat and attempting to fish. I'm happy to say that he did a stellar job at both while I just sat in the back and kept fishing and plying the net when asked. He claims a bigger anchor will soon be in the works!
Following are a few of the nice crappie I landed.

Crappie, bass and a plethora of small sunfish came topside despite the wind. Amazing as it sounds, we managed to break triple digits once again with a total of 127 coming topside in a bit over 2 hours of fighting the variable wind. We kept a few for a mutual friend who doesn't get out much and let him know he would soon have a bag of fillets to enjoy.

Another fine trip with a good fishing partner, one who didn't even cuss when he went in over the tops of his boots when loading the boat back on the trailer!
