It was a nice spring day here and I made up my mind about 2pm that I'd be hitting the water once again in search of some fish. I launched just at 5, with 68 degrees on the thermometer and the water temps about 62. Breezy, but not quite as windy as it has been on my last trips. I again cruised the deeper water, looking for those schools I was finding last time. Took me about 20 minutes to get the first fish in the boat but once that one came in, the action was pretty steady. Broke the crappie skunk that's been hounding me with this nice 1st fish of the day.

Lots of bluegill's once again, best one about 8 1/2" from those basin schools. They were suspended at about 18' out over the deepest water. No further crappie were landed until I made my way over to some sheltered shoreline and began working the shallower waters there. Found 3 more crappie to put a smile on my face.

This one is about 10" and I didn't snap a picture of the last one as he was about 7".

I'm happy to finally put a few crappie in the boat along with all the other fish I got tonight. I called it a night about 7:20 or so after snapping this last picture.

Lots of action tonight; lots of bluegill once again, 7-8 yellow perch, couple of small bass and a pickerel of about 10". All were returned for another time.
