Wow, awesome trip. Congrats on a successful fishing adventure.
I found myself with some extra ambition and put it to good use this morning by making another fishing trip. I pushed off from shore about 10:30, with the air temperature at 58 and the water temperature on this pond at 53. There is a lot of rain showers in next weeks forecast so I figured I'd get this trip in before they showed up. Wasn't much wind here at the house but once I got on the water, it was blowing pretty good from the NE ahead of the front that's coming. We still have some good color around; here are a few pics of some of the better areas.
I started out with with a good one, a solid 12", and backed it up a couple of minutes later with another 12.
Had quite a dry spell, only landing a good perch that also got tossed in on the ice and thought that might be it for the day. I guess glancing at the church on my way to the pond paid off, for I would soon be back in to the big crappie and some nice bluegill. All the 'gills got a pass today, even though they were for the most part big ones at 8" or better.
Boated a bunch today, 10" as the small one of the day, the rest all 11" or better. Even had a double, with a pair of twin 11's headed to the cooler.
I headed toward the landing about 12:20, telling myself I had enough for this trip. But the crappie gods would smile on me once more, providing another double with 2 more 11 inchers on the way in, and when I picked up the third rod, it had another big bluegill on it!
I reeled them all in and called it good enough and headed for shore for real.
I'm not sure how many are in there; one perch and I don't know how many nice keeper crappie. I'll count them up as I clean them and will post the total later.
Not sure when I'll get another chance at them but this will probably be the last bunch I'll bring home. Gotta leave some for ice fishing and open water next year!
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Nice mess and some beautiful scenery
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Another outstanding trip. You are sure knocking them out when you get a chance to go out. Keep up the great times. Tight lines.
Pass the "Sportsman Love" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish with.
Beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing
