Great night for being out, too bad the fish didn't co-operate. Still better than being stuck at home. Have many more great trips. Tight lies.
While it was a perfect fall day to be out, the fish took the day off for the most part. I pushed out from shore at 4:15, 70 degrees and water temp at 69. Headed out to the deeper part of the pond and marked a nice school of fish to troll over. Quick double, an average bluegill and a perch of about 10" and thought, "it's going to be a productive night".
Wrong!! Took another hour before I'd hook another fish, this time it was our favorite species. About a 9"er.
Took nearly another hour to land 3 more of them, about 10, 11 and maybe a 7". Didn't snap a pic of that one.
I don't remember what I got them on, as I used a lot of different lures tonight, trying to find something they'd hit more than once. I think they all came on different lures. About 6:30 I went over a small group of fish on the graph, so I dropped my gray stinger over to see if I could jig one up and got this one instantly:
Nice rainbow of 12-13" and the last fish of the night. I called it quits just at 7.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.BuckeyeCrappie LIKED above post
