Got a call from a fellow board member that he found them biting at a lake we both fish so after taking care of the morning routine, I headed out to see if I could find a few as well. Launched in very calm conditions just after 8, air temp at 58, water temp at 63. I pushed over to the area he had mentioned and with just a few casts, had the first one in the boat, about a 9"er. Kept on tossing the Tennessee shad colored stinger and soon boated this one of about 12".

A few more smaller ones followed as I tried some different colors; the bluegill found this green and white stinger to their liking. I boated 4-5 on this combination, pretty good 'gills for this water at 8-8 1/2" each.

The wind came up pretty good about 10 and I headed for the landing, calling it a day about 10:20 as I had things to do today.
Total for the day would be 6-7 crappie, 4-5 bluegill and one each of bass, pickerel, yellow perch, and a golden shiner.
Kinda hard to find time to fish right now, but hopefully things will open up a bit for me shortly and I'll get out a bit more often. Sure felt good having some good, solid tugs on the line again.
