All right, nicely done! Glad you got out to enjoy the nice fall day and that the fish cooperated, too! And yes, hard water isn't all that far off.
I found myself with a free Saturday afternoon and decided to spend it in my boat. Open water trips will be ending within the next month probably so you have to take advantage of a nice day while you can.
Today the air temp was in the mid fifties and the water temp was right at 50. I was on the water early this afternoon, by 1:30 I was in my fishing spot. I fished around for an hour before I finally caught a fish. One light biting 12 inch Crappie started the day for me. Then I kept fishing around using different techniques and different jigs.
Trolling seemed to work the best today. I had to sort through quite a few small ones. Which is rare in this spot. I did manage a few nice ones however. It wasn't a great bite this afternoon but it wasn't bad either. Brought a few home for a meal and easily released as many as I kept. Hopefully I will be able to make it out some more before I have to start drilling holes to fish.

Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
Wonderful afternoon and great pictures. Those are some real nice Crappies. Best to you before ice-up.
Excellent fish! Congrats!
