Had a plan to get going early this morning up to the "windy" water I've been fishing this year but got delayed. I launched at 10:40 and pulled off at 1:45. Yesterday was very breezy here but today didn't seem as bad.....until I arrived at the launch. Much breezier there than at home but I took it in stride and headed out. I wanted to explore the other shore away from where I'd already spent some time anyway so ended up rowing and towing rather than attempting to do any casting. Long story short, I did a lot more rowing than pulling in fish; I landed a grand total of 3 fish. 1 better than average bluegill and 2 crappie; 1 about 9", the other about 11". Here is the biggie of the day:

I tried a bunch of different baits today. He bit on a Joker lure, black and silver while getting blown along over the main basin, suspended just over top of the thermocline at 20' in 28' of water. Come to think of it, that lure landed all the fish today. I did lose one on the slabilicious along the weed edge, don't know for sure what it was but was pulling and circling like a bluegill.

It was a nice day to be out there, even though my tally was a bit short compared to other trips.
