I got out of work at reasonable time Friday evening. The boat was all ready to go and I hooked on for a solo trip.

I was on the water by quarter after 5. Air temp was 70 degrees and the water temp was 60. I fished a place that I don't fish much open water, mostly I ice fish it. It has some smaller fish but I have never had it let me down.

The first two hours were pretty good. Caught around 20 Crappie, lots of small ones I threw back. Caught some bigger females and threw them back. Kept 6 of the bigger males. Caught a few White Perch and some Pumpkinseeds also. Bobby Garland Baby Shad in Mo Glo Twilight seemed to be the bait of choice.

Beautiful evening with no wind. No complaints here. First trip I didn't have to dress like it was winter.Name: 20190531_185653.jpg
