Pardon my posting inexperience but Rich's computer is in for repairs so you will have to put up with my post.
We got a break in the weather for today, predicted "sunny & 77 degrees". NOT even close, those do gone weather people. But we took the chance and went anyway. We launched at 7:45 with a heavy cloud cover and cool 53 degrees but it was going to warm up. We headed out and were at our fishing spot before 8:00. It was an open area and there was a fair wind but our hopes were up because the river had gone down about 3 feet. We cast the shoreline, the deep water and drifter till about 10:15 then we headed down the shore to a corner that is protected from the wind by trees (we were very cold because we dressed for warmer weather). The fish were scattered catching 1 here and one there but the hopes were up.
Here are a few pictures of the eskimo's with the meager catch.
Once in the corner with the wind protection we found them quite agreeable to most everything we threw at them. The action for the next 2 hours was very good. By 12:15 we had to call it quits because our arms and shoulders were hurting. The water had warmed back up to 57 degrees and things are looking good. The total for the day was 61 caught & released. The breakdown was Crappie 20, Bluegill 30, Yellow Perch 10, And of course Rich had to catch his customary Pickerel 1.
Here are a few pictures of the better ones we were catching.
Hopefully Rich's computer will be fixes soon so you can expect him to update you by next week.
Good luck and tight lines to you all.
