We might have to rename ourselves the Crappie Costas. The NH black crappies were biting up a storm today. The boys and I kept a few for a dinner and CnR'd another 50+ fish between the 3 of us over a 2.5 hour float on the water from 1:30p - 4:00p It was difficult to paddle in to shore and leave.

Most fish averaged 9" in length. The longest of the day was 11.25". All were caught on 1/16oz pink jig heads tipped with black and chartreuse Crappie Magnet plastics and a spritz of Slab Sauce for good measure.

Presentations do not matter right now in this pond. Casting, trolling, vertical jigging, floating under slip bobbers - heck - on more than one occasion fish were biting the jigs right below the surface while we were posing and snapping pictures of some catches.

It really was fun. I can't wait for the next chance for us to head out to this honey hole.Name: IMG_20181006_142807943.jpeg
