Rainbow trout alternative to crappie

That's right. There are opportunities right now in East Texas to catch some rainbow trout. TPWD stocks rainbows in some area lakes in mid-December. In Tyler, trout will be caught from the lake at Tyler State Park to the North and the lake in Faulkner Park on the South side of town. Look for Super Dave to be there casting tiny mico jigs (1/16 in-line Spinner flies, aka Rooster Tails.) Bank fishing only. Limit of 5 per day. Save some for me, and I'll save some for you!
