Toledo bend
Planning my first trip to Toledo bend at the end of May. What would be a good area to camp at? Where would be a good place to start looking for some crappie?

I’d say it depends on your preferred style of fishing. Also boat size and what kind of water you are comfortable running in.
It gets nasty in a hurry out in the open.
Lower lake has lots of big boat docks for dock shooting , upper lake has more coves/ creeks with trees/ brush along the shore but also more stumps.

Well be there same time frame. Went last year and caught lots of fish on main lake brush in 15-20’ mid lake. I looked at a mile of trees and never saw a crappie but brush and lay downs were loaded. Fun lake for sure!! We stay at Holly Park.
