    Default Navarro Mills

Does Navarro Mills still produce quality fish? I fished there with my granddad when I was a teen and would like to make the drive if there's quality size/weight fish. It would ve a rather long drive for me. Any info appreciated. Thanks!Name: 20240310_193444.jpg

Hey Tx Crappie Brother. I've never fished it, but know someone that fished it before as well did in January of this year due to it being a smaller lake & the wind was higher that day. He had 17 good Crappie. He does fish with Forward Facing Sonar & he does catch them open water while they are on the move from 20yards - 60yards out with precision vs only fish timber & brushpiles if this helps. Wind or rain has me very possibly done for the next 2 weeks as I mainly only fish on Sunday & Monday (Pic attached). I mapped it out and it is about 1hour & 45minutes from where I live. If you give me until next month when the weather is 1mph-13mph with less than 10% chance of rain on a Sunday or Monday I'll swing down there to see what it's like while I try to bang out another Tx Limit on a new lake. I aint Scurred I guarantee ya 1 thing... I bet I catch 7 keepers. Name: Screenshot 2024-03-22 081543.jpg

    Cool

C H A N G E O F P L A N S.... I just looked at the weather & said why not take a different day off next week vs my normal Monday to stroll on down to see if it's my day to not catch 7 Crappie, as well as save a Crappie dot com member a long drive by fishing a new lake to report. I will let you know next week. Bad part is if I go through there with a Hammer Brother you aren't going to have many left to come catch. I'm Catch & Grease not Catch & Release. ARE YOU GIVING ME THE GREEN LIGHT TO LIGHT IT UP PIGPICKER?

@Ketchn, Creeks were & there were several places Kayakers were there I didn't go. Ketchn Muddy water is where I catch some of the biggest Crappie so I like muddy/stained water especially growing up in Mississippi & fishing the Pearl River. I almost went back on 3-31-24 because I want to find a lake that doesn't beat you as bad when it's strong out of the South but yeah it's not Clear.
