    Default Wind

I’m sure it’s been brought up before, I have never noticed it on here

I’m not afraid of wind like today 14mph with 26 gust, in open water

Last Sunday was super crazy water coming over the bow lol but I was on them

Although the buddy I go with is an old school Bass tournament guy and is transitioning to crappie, he said is Crappie guys are Crazy as hell

What’s yalls top wind and what’s yalls success on fishing it

My boat is a 22 ft CC, so I can fishing in windy conditions , My issue with the wind , my boat slip is on the main lake , unprotected from anything other than east wind, Trying to dock or undock in the waves can be downright dangerous to people and hard on the equipment.

been out with the bow dipping under the 3 or 4 ft roller waves in heavy timber hanging on to a tree with one hand and hammering with the other
no clue on wind speed , but to be VERY sure it was rocking and rolling like you know what ....
AND to be also VERY sure not a soul out there BUT us .....
open water is easy in high winds most of the time with my crew ,,,,but in heavy timber is a totally different story for sure

My boat is only 14ft so heavy wind is a big no no for me. The lake I fish is known to be very dangerous when the wind is up. I schedule all my trips based on the wind speed. The higher the wind the closer I stay to the ramp.

I’ve been lucky.. the good Lord has protected me when my judgement skills were lacking. I try to avoid heavy winds in my little 14ft boat, but have been out a time or two rocking and rolling as I pull em in. Your buddy is right! We be crazy about crappie for sure. Lol
