Default Tough times in some spots locally

Recent tourney results on a big crappie location close to home this week were dismal ....
best 7 of that deal was under 7 lbs .....
several other locations are the same in my wanderings ....
the big fish have become very elusive and difficult to ketch ....
the dog days of summer are upon us ...
some spots have a hard thermocline .....
and to be very sure lots of the crappie are NOT in deep water right now ...
water temps in the high 80 range BEFORE midday on the surface ....
look in short water , best spots yesterday were in waters less than 7 foot deep ....
and more often than not the bite is VERY light ....
    tip of the week ....

In the dog day here I find the activity best just before sunset.

here if its daylight , morning is the ticket , the EVERYTHING is still super heated in these parts till well into the dark
morning seems to be more active and especially in the right spot until the sun shines down on the water .....
