Pole!! But more on that momentarily. I found the color and it was blue ice today. I came home with 16 keepers caught over 3.5 hrs. A new personal best.
The air was crisp as I launched at 0800. Quick hop to a nearby dock with lots of slips. Double jig rigged and long pole equipped, I sling the ol jigs out over the 15 foot wide dock into nearby slip. If witnessed by other fisherman the reaction is usually one of bewilderment. The fun ensued. Talking about kaboom, bent hooks and all.
Running 8lb test and 1/16 jigs. Seems to be a good balance when ran in tandem such as a double jig rig. At one point a bottom jig snapped off, I cut it flush and caught several with the remaining single jig.
Final thoughts are I need a longer pole to reach the next slip down and some creative method of delivering the jigs to said slip haha. Hard to sling em out 25 feet with the 11 footer . I used the g sauce on them and the stuff works! I am a big fan, really. Slab sauce for the win.
Good luck to all and God Bless!
