It was an outstanding crappie lake when they had the big aerator going by the dam.
I made a trip down there in 2007 when I moved back to Texas. Game warden came up to me where i was launching my boat told me I should not go out on the lake in my boat. He stated it was too dangerous for small boats to be on the lake, that 2-3 people were ran over by the cigar boats each year there. He stated they would power up at the dam, get to full speed 1/2 down the lake and then throttle back to be slow enough to turn around at the bridge to do the same thing back to the dam.
That lake is too small for power boats to operate safely, so I asked him why the city allowed big power boats on the lake, given how small the lake is. He pointed to all the big houses on the North shore of the lake. He stated those boys paid so much in property tax that the city allowed them to do whatever they wanted to do.
I took his advice and left. Haven't been back there since then.

Any day I'm fishing is a good day, regardless of what I catch.

If I were to hit cleburne right now there is a big rounded point on the east end of the dam as I remember. Would be a good place to start.

How's the water looking on Fork? Headed down in a week and 1/2.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
they have been on them really shallow for about a week now
4 to 6 fow and in numbers
the 3 lb fish seem elusive but there are high numbers of 2.5 fish hitting the boat decks for sure .
