the fish have gone to short water about everywhere . they were not there in many spots but the time has come and in most spawning areas the fish are in .
if you know a spot you like and you are near dfw you best go pitch if you can while the pitching is good .

Kaboom!
I have not a clue sir , some spots it feels pretty warm and others it feels quite chilly , I hear tell high 50 to mid to upper 60 depending on who what and where and what time of day and what lake and etc etc etc
I don't run a boat these days and just skip around from lake to lake and feel my jigs and fish when I can ketch a fish that is

when they are near the banks you don't need no stinkin boat to ketchm do you outlaw? My preferred way is wading when they are on the bank to get into the brush they are in. as for stay at home SUGGESTION you arn't bothering anyone when you go out and get in your own vehicle, touch only your stuff and are on a bank of a creek or lake. This isn't martial law and your governator is talking about opening up state to bidness and getting back to doing what we do.

I am finding them in 14-18 ft of water in 20-22 ft of water. I am not finding anything in the shallows. Right now I am fishing from my boat in the afternoon and am catching around 100 a day.
30%-50% of the ones I catch on the lake are keepers, 1%-2% of those I catch in my slips are keepers. Many are finally starting to show up dressed in their tux's so maybe the bigger ones will show up in the slips soon.
I keep very few of what I catch but I love it when they are hitting in numbers, regardless of size. I have had a very fun filled week although I had several days last week where I only caught 1 or 2 small keepers when the weather kept me off the lake and fishing my slips.

These last few days have been unusual. Don't know how long they will last. Part of it is probably due to not too many fishing for crappie right now. Lots of IAH running up and down the lake, but few serious fishermen.
It's rare I forget to plug the chargers in but it does occasionally happen.
Yesterday morning was great but late afternoon with H was slow, saw the fish but way too many of them had lockjaw. The big ones were awol. H said I caught them all yesterday morning before he came. But the morning and early afternoon bite has been better than the after 5 pm bite. The bluegill had taken over one crappie pile but I had left my bluegill rod at the slip.
The wind came up yesterday afternoon, making it hard to stay on spotlock and impossible to keep the jig still. But H caught a ton of them at the slip when we came back in, fishing the edge of the green light.
