I did like the leave them on the bow of the big house boat deck under the bucket so they are visible but not posted .
nice touch on that one too …..
No, that might be going a little too far since I am not at the slips all the time to protect them. I am going to tee off enough folks with the gates and lock without rubbing salt into their wounds.
But the No TressTRESPASSINGpassing signs were a subtle enough hint that I did install the second gate and locks. Like being hit in the head with a 2 x 4 type hint.

Trouble is the crappie thought the "No Trespassing" signs were for them. We caught almost nothing last night and what few we caught were small.
But I caught more than you did. Even if I did cheat and use minnows.

Question:
The lake I fish is an irrigation impoundment.
During winter draw down the deepest spot is 30 ft. High water mark can be 70 ft.
It is a lowland lake and there is very little cover. Just where would one sink stuff here?
drops offs are the best places along channel edges . put them at lots of different depths so when the lake fluctuates you will still have good locations . the depths your fish like to hold at would be a great start and then deeper and shallower to allow for the ups and downs .
use hard wood if you can and it will be there longer . some hardwoods last a good while in the water . pvc is also a stay for ever thing . I know lots of folks that like old plastic lawn chairs too .

It’s been a tough start to the year for sure. Creeks and docks alike. They’ll definitely be in y’all’s vicinity before too long though.

I like that you don’t use those forever plastic tube thingies. Bamboo is a great choice.
Maybe they will bite this oneKetchn thanked you for this post
