I agree that those you can entice off the bottom are quicker to bite and much easier to catch. You must work to get those individual fish that are suspended under a school to bait fish to hit a jig.

As always, I enjoyed your video and discovered something new to try. I look forward to each one you produce, and being selfish, wish you were producing more each week.

But you are lucky the fish are only 25-30 foot deep. Yesterday I was fishing in 48' of water, catching individual crappie suspended around 45" below the schools of white bass at 35-40 feet. It was fun but I worked for every one that I managed to entice into hitting the jig.

But the size of those I did catch made ignoring the smaller white bass worthwhile as I concentrated on the bigger fish below them. I seldom catch many crappie on Joe Pool that are larger than 12". Made a fellow I know at his slip a very happy camper when I came in and gave them to him.

Any day I'm fishing is a good day, regardless of what I catch.

What I'm finding is viewers don't want to see a bunch of fish swung in the boat but the struggle to figure the fish out..... My last few vids have had a much better response since I'm not showing most of the catches but showing what I'm doing at the beginning of my trip..... Thanks for the awesome feedback!

Winter is a great time to spider rig, when they don't want any action on the jig.....

Wow..... I'll be reeling 40ft of line up for sure....LOL On this lake there's only one area deeper than 40ft...... I'll bet you made your slip neighbor a happy man with those slabs.... Thanks!

YES I agree the struggle and thought process and why and how is what makes it a super video. Lots of video of guys swinging them into boat and editing makes it seem easy like we should just be doing the same. There is a learning curve and testing and that is what most videos fail to show. Glad you understand SK!!!
