So much in fact that a grown man might just stand under a bridge in ft worth on his lunch break and try to ketch crappie in the trinity river
And boy howdy was it a tough thing to do and to top it off they ran VERY small and to make it worse lots of other fish got in on the action as well .
about 7 foot under a fixed float in water about 12 foot deep in the shade was my presentation and there were lots of small bait fish on the surface and lots of everything trying to eat them .
Big gar ,longnose I think were rolling all on the top everywhere and small 3 inch bass were racing around blowing up the surface with them .
It was busy for sure ,but to be just as sure it was SUPER hard to pick off a crappie in that mess of action and most was really small baby crappie .
I did manage to hold one ok crappie fish but its in a video that I cant load here .
I tried a larger bait at first and only managed 1 bass and 2 crappie and changed to a small lil fry and started upping the game .
managed to ketch 3 bass, 7 bluegill , 1 small blue cat and about a dozen or so small crappie .
and some of the crappie were EXTRA small
sometimes it just is what it is from the bank you know
