Wow—thanks for your insight. I will try that. My buddy SK keeps after me to try new spots. I think I will start. Thanks again for your reply. Dennis

lucky for me on my home lakes only a few minutes away by road or toon so I can run to certain docks or shore places, if they are on great if not go back take nap and come in few hours to see if that covey or crappie have moved in. if not then go back do some chores and come back later in day. they are finicky and you have to be flexible and hit different areas.

"You mean there are folks who actually pay attention to that crazy rule? wow, just put em out when no one around or after dark. It's easier to ask for forgiveness that their permission when everyone will know of your pile."
I've seen quite a few stopped at the gates over the years trying to carry them in. They may just not know about it beforehand
KETCHEN ; sent me back to an old song....sorry YouTube
One thing for sure, you can not have too many spots be it brush piles or docks or what ever!

Fish move just like humans. Get bored staying in one place too long. It's called SEARCHING FOR THE FISH
On my lake I very seldom load the boat from any one spot. I seem to do better if we catch the 4 or 5 aggressive fish then move to the next spot rather than set and wait for the other fish to bite
crappie are active fish in lots of spots moving frequently and setting up in some cases for a while and in other cases just for minutes .
I use lots of boot leather to stay on bank fish and to be sure when I am sure they aint on at one spot I move to another and even return to spot A in many cases later , you know just to make sure ….
