    Default waters is HIGH

AND so is the wind …. sure is tough to ketch
but some are nice ones and the bite is all over the map .
I hit 3 lakes this week and it isn't similar in any fashion as to what where or when .
the only thing I noticed similar is the lack of 2 leggers after them ….

The SRA has been trying to bring this lake down to 168' all year to do some work to the damn, but the rain has managed to keep it from getting even close. Full pool here is 172' and about the time they got it down to about 170.5' the rains even picked up more. Originally they had both generators running 24/7, but then they had to open the gates, first 5 gates open a foot, then all 11 gates a foot each, then 2' and then 3', then since it hit over 173' lol! Finally they think okay we are making head way and it's back to 172.5, nut then more rain and back to over 173 and now today still have 11 gates open 3' each and it's only down to 172.9'! The people hurt most are the ones down South of us and the river has been over full all year and has one person tell me it's not gone below flood stage since Harvey.

I can't even get to my boat as my little deck next to my boat has water over the top of it!

Can you wade out to it? I was doing that for a few days to reach my boat slip.

Yes, but I M not going fishing in rubber boots, lol! I am not sure I could get in it that high, would take climbing in and my physical body just can’t do things like that any more.

Dang! Boy, when TB gets high, it can be bad. I hope it gets back to normal soon. I was hoping to get over there and do some bream fishing. I sure would like to head back over there and hit the Coops this winter, too.

I can understand that. My mind is still willing and says we can still do that but my body replies the heck we can when I try.

LOL, well your absolutely right and my mind also is young, but I know it will get me in trouble too and have had enough experience now that I have started to listen a little anyway!

They have been trying all year to bring it back to 168' (both generators running 24/7 all year) to make some repairs and one time maybe 6 weeks ago (?) it got to just over 170', then the rains started coming and it started to rise and once it got over 172' they opened the gates. Since then they have been with all 11 gates open 3' most of the time, but once they get it below 172' they bring it back to having them open just 1', but last time that happened it lasted one day until the next rain, lol!

Of course we all know here we will be begging and praying for rain soon, lol!
