Over two pounds would be our lake record. Way to go!

Many thanks to SK and Ketchn!! I followed their sage advice, and guess what, I caught fish!! Finally caught a decent mess of fish after a LONG dry spell. Went to Ray Roberts in the Buck Creek area this weekend. Fished off the banks in about 15 fow. Fish were scattered in the dead timber suspended at about 5-6 feet. All caught on a cajun cricket jig with chart head. A little Slab Sauce and a crappie nibble to boot. Just kept dippin' the trees and BAM! The biggest one was just over 2 lbs. Caught a bunch of dinks, but some good slabs too. One thing though, all the females still had eggs. Could it be possible they haven't spawned yet?

its all over the map on the spawn bro. I caught two whopper stoppers yesterday that were thin as pancakes and as finished as a girl crappie gets on eggs for sure . then my bud sends me photos of fish he got in a foot of water right around the corner same afternoon .
I think white crappie spawn over a very long period of time versus the black versions .
KABOOM on the ketchn and congrats

on a side note , those fish look like they been spawning a while now

Nice catchn KC...... Good to hear you got on'em.....
The crappie on any lake don't all go spawn at the same time and I don't believe they squirt all their eggs at one time in one place......
There's a 3 to 4mth span that you'll catch'um with eggs.....
That fishn top down puts'um in tha boat......
