    Default Joe Poole report

Bunches of nice fish suspended about 6 to 8 foot down in 14 to 16 fow on structure in the shade . Afternoon bite was real good until it got dark , at dark they flat quit biting and we never found them again . They didn't go shallow where we were best we could tell and they seemed to vacate the brushed areas as well .
The good news is we let them all go and we managed at least 2 limits of real nice fish
Thanks again Ez for the invite
    stay tuned

good news: a 2.6 pound crappie was caught at the slips this week. bad news: I wasn't the one that caught it.

I was killing all the minnow people in the creek on black/chart with a pink head, but it was just way too many almost 10’s. It seemed like the deeper fish started hitting an hour or less before sundown, then got really slow for all of us except for the smalls on the bank. I don’t know why though. I tried lots of things but no dark luck on keepers. I gave my first 3 fish away. Then I started a stringer of 2 with one nice one well over 14”. Then it got dark and the dinkfest was on. I took a picture and then gave those 2 away and had better luck when I stopped at the Academy nearby on the drive home lol. That’s a 6” piece of plastic on the ground btw

Actually I am too lazy to change jigs when a color works. These are so easy to add a new one when the current one gets too ragged to stay on the jig head. The only time I am forced to retie is when I lose the jig, which doesn't happen too often since I use braid.

I just received an order of my favorite jigs from Pepop, his Blue Truse, in the 1/64, 1/32 and 1/16 oz size. I also received some of his Pink Snowball jigs, some with white heads and some with pink heads. So lazy or not, some of these will be seeing the water real soon.
