It was funny, EZ hooked into that thing and fought it without much noise then I hear all this splashing goin on and did a quick look to make sure he hadn't fallen into the lake..... As more splashing goes on I asked him if he was alright.... He was like NO...I asked if he needed some help..... He said aaahhhh YEAH..... when I made it to him that big ole thing had just about wore EZ out, I reached down there to lip that fish and as I brought it up it almost didn't stop coming out of the water it was so long....LOL
8 to 10lbs for sure.....

Lol Nothing wrong with that one. Really nice fish, even better story. I was trying to get out to check a spot not far from there last night but couldn’t make it. Hopefully tonight. If all that dang rain didn’t mess it up
I thought that thing was going to break my little ultra light rod before I could get it in. The biggest thing wrong with it is that it was not a crappie. But at least for this night I caught the biggest fish and the smallest crappie.
And yes, ketchn, I will agree that you were in the dark. But I seem to remember a few bass you caught as well as the big one that got away that you insisted was a big crappie but sounded awfully like a bass to me.
But it was for sure a fun filled night and we caught enough keepers to make three not so fortunate fisherman happy.

So I made it out there. Between the wind and current it was no bueno. Protected banks were hard to come by and cold and empty. There were some in a deep hole in a creek, but they might as well’ve been somewhere else as I couldn’t keep a jig in a spot long enough. I got one dink that was probably too dumb to know any better. Some minnow guy seen that and tied up a weighted rig to keep him in place and then he caught a few smalls.
Nice fish! I will sneak off and get a Bass every once in a while if I think there is a chance of a big one, meaning over 10!
