Be carefull ketch, don;t get yourself hurt, we need the reports to keep coming!
I ventured down to little creek SK found a few years ago the other day to just ketch a few sunfish or crappie or bass or whatever might bite .
We have ketched about everything in the form of a fish in there sometimes and with the water up its a great place to go pitch a bait .
So down the steep bank I went and I mean really steep ! I see right away I cant get where I want to be to cast unless I head downstream to a spot I can "cross" to a little island we like to stand on .
Well I find the best spot or so I thought and step off onto a pc. of concrete . the island is a bunch of old concrete they put in to slow erosion and its jagged and has rebar sticking up in it and etc etc. Pretty tricky foot work sometimes and to be sure I was low on tricks .
I stepped off to the first pc. and it was solid and I went with the second foot to the other pc. and my first foot slipped !
At this point I went down hard in a split formation and recovered myself and assessed what might be broke .I was spread out flat with all fours pointing a different way and one foot a bit wet from the dunk . I gathered myself and thought wow my knee hurts from the slide burn and WOW was I lucky this 12 inch rebar under my belly somehow didn't stick me good .
So I look around a bit and decide I am ok enough to keep going and take my second step …..NOT good ! Next pc a concrete rolls and back down I go in the same formation AGAIN !!!
This time I got extra wet and was like darnit man this aint going well so far ….
well second spill was mostly water damage and me and my tackle survived ….so ...
I got positioned and found very few small sunfish not willing to bite and channel cats ruling the creek ….
and that's my story and I am sticking to it
btw ...channel cats on a 1/64 number 8 have a tendency to escape in numbers ….I only landed 3 and hooked 8 …..darnit again ...
and not a crappie to be found …..darnit one more time ….
stay tuned ...
Yeah man don’t be getting all busted up. A lot of us live vicariously through you. Good report as always.

Be careful out there Outlaw! as we get older sometimes we can't do what we used to do easily. or at least everyone else, for some reason I am still nimble about as ever and also if it looks like it is too dicey, don't go there. That is new.
Still it's FUN to catch sunfish like that and then some kitty kat's on light tackle, give you a real tussle.
Careful out there dude, could have been bad. I slipped in creek/lake the other day and got my boots and pride wet, no damage. Wet muddy, steep rocks are not meant for peoples over 50!!

Yep. That's a me alright! The little adventurer in me kept on pushing too. Oh well. At least you got some fish and pics to put up. Nice Ketchn there
take care and watch yourself. I had a similar situation to where i was walking a creek and a bank location gave away and I almost ended up in the creek. I was lucky that there was a branch hanging and I grabbed it before i hit the water. I can relate to the footing not being like it used to be and being able to get right back up after a fall.
