    Default Border lakes

Trying to take tripmforst week of February from Chicago with wife and dogs. Coming from Chicago to escape the the cold. Was wondering if falcon or amistad is safe to fish. Or good for fishing at that time. We would be camping in a truck camper. We have a 17ft Lund impact boat deep v with a 115 horse and a 9.9 horse. Would also try for bass any input on safety fishing and campground

usualky do Florida in winter but trying to change it up

Water murky; 71–75 degrees; 23.70’ low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits, topwaters, jigs, and soft plastics. Striped bass are fair on silver slabs. White bass are fair on silver slabs and minnows. Catfish are good on cheesebait over baited holes. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not

Absolutely can be a dangerous place if one crosses the middle of the lake to the Mexican side, could be a huge problem!

Are there other South Texas lakes that don't sit on the border that have good crappie fishing?
